Please join Undiscovered Beasts and Strange Phenomena with Adam Davies Tuesday, May 15 at 9 PM ET (6 PM PT), as we discuss the Mokele-Mbembe. Said to inhabit the Lake Tele region of the Congo River basin, this large beast is often reported to be the size of an elephant with a long neck. Local legend has persisted for centuries and reports of westerners encountering the beast, or its giant footprints, go back to the 18th century. We will be talking about Adam’s expeditions to the area, and his experiences in Africa, while searching for the legendary beast. Described as half elephant and half dragon, a great animal of massive proportion, perhaps even a forgotten throwback to prehistoric times, could be living in the dark green heart of central Africa.
