On the afternoon of December 9, 1965 a large fireball was witnessed by thousands across the northeastern United States as it tore across the sky dropping fiery debris. Its trajectory would bring it down in the small quiet town of Kecksburg, PA, some 30 miles southeast of Pittsburg. What would follow that evening would never let the sleepy little town rest again. Local volunteer fireman reporting finding a craft or object in the woods. It was said to be the size of a VW Beetle and roughly the shape of an acorn. Shortly after the military intervened by cordoning off the area and preventing entry, until they themselves could remove the object on a flatbed truck to parts unknown. Rumors have persisted since. Was it a Soviet Satellite? Perhaps it was a test flight of captured German World War II technology? Could it have been a craft of extraterrestrial origin? Unusual markings around the base of the object and the military presence that evening have only fueled speculation over the decades since. Stan Gordon has spent many years working diligently to uncover the truth behind the Kecksburg event, and will help us delve deeply into this mystery. We will also be talking a bit about some of his other fine research. Please join us Tuesday April 24, at 9 PM ET (6 PM PT).for this special show with guest host Michael Huntington.
