Do you feel confused, exhausted or frustrated because of your responsibilities? When you’re stuck, Marnee Weber is a professional coach who creates a safe place for you to find the clarity and strength you need to make decisions, plan and communicate. She mixes empathetic support, truth-telling, and resource-sharing to help people advocate calmly and confidently, while not sacrificing their own needs and priorities. She coaches family caregivers and living assistance professionals. One client recently said, “Now I know what I can and cannot do for my mother: my grand plans versus how I can actually respond to each next challenge.” Other clients say they now feel validated and able to relieve the stress that has damaged their well-being, relationships and professional goals. To help her clients “care with ease™”, Marnee draws on her personal story as the primary care-taker and advocate for five of her family members who became gravely ill, simultaneously. She maintained her resiliency and navigated her grief by leaning on her life-long study of yoga, Zen Buddhism and positive psychology theories. From that experience The Caregiving Coach was born. Marnee graduated from Coach U in 2004 and is pursuing an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. She is V.P. of Programs for ICF Phoenix, Secretary/Executive Committee member of the National Association of Women Business Owners Phoenix chapter, a member of Senior B2B Networking, a network of senior services providers, and a member of DUET’s Caregiver Services Advisory Committee, a caregiving-support non-profit.    Learn more at www.thecaregivingcoach.com 01:00:00ICF PhoenixnoCaregiver Stress,Burnout,Assisted Living,Caretaking,Health CoachAre you responsible for the care of another who is ill and needs assistance? She served on the Global Board of the ICF from 1998-2000 with other coaching pioneers and continues to support the coaching community.  Motivated by her passion for the power of transparency, she has made landmark contributions to the field of integrative thinking. Her approach emphasizes continuous growth and improvement. She partners with CEOs to build strong connections between the people, the processes, and the purpose of the organization.    Katharine has been speaking professionally since 1991 . She presents interactive keynotes at State and National Conferences to audiences of 30-200 people. Her early thoughts lead her to pursue a Master’s in Social Work. She successfully obtained her degree, and immediately was hired as a social worker for a residential treatment program for adolescent boys. She provided group, individual & family therapy for boys ranging in age of 15-17. After 3.5 years in this high stress volatile environment, she realized she wanted the chance to work in win-win situations. She obtained a position as a supervisor in Pacific Bell. Interestingly enough she utilized all the same skills as she had in juvenile probation. In this position she developed skills as a leader, trainer and facilitator. Over the next 8 years, she focused on the challenges of communication. A lifestyle change led her to pursue a new opportunity.  She was hired into a position with Vanguard, as an employee relations specialist. In this role, she discovered coaching. Her work with both employees and leaders lead her to explore helping people find their own answers rather than offering advice or telling them what to do. She pursued Coach training with Coach U and eventually became credentialed. Maria applies a coach approach to all that she does at Vanguard. As a result coaching is being utilized throughout the organization. Her coaching includes working with employees & leaders. This coaching involves areas of performance management, conflict resolution, career advancement, strengths assessment & challenging people situations. She trains & coaches leaders on the skills and techniques of Crucial Conversations. Maria is a Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.  She is currently the President if the ICF Phoenix Chapter. Her other involvements have been as a mentor at Freshstart, member of Toastmasters & SHRM. 00:59:00ICF Phoenixnocorporate coaching, counseling, social work, crucial conversations,ICFMaria knew she wanted to help others as early as 7 years old. Were any of them unusual?  After working as a classical musician and computer consultant, Debra hired a coach during a pivotal time in her life. She got so much from the coaching process that she decided to be trained and certified as a coach and began a new career. Has your life taken interesting twists and turns? As a coach, Debra uses principles of positive and peak performance psychology to help her clients build on what's working. What's going well in your life and how can you build on it?
