Let's see if we can give you the Reader's Digest take on the Life & Fabulousness of Paulette McWilliams. At 11, she had a chance to be a contestant on TV's "Amateur Hour." Sammy Davis Jr. heard her and encouraged that precious girl to continue pursuing music.

Did she EVER take his advice!  For over 45 years, Paulette's musical journey has taken her to places that only dreamers envision. She was the first to front Rufus - and was responsible for her friend, Chaka Khan, to replace her in the band. Our guest can be heard on Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and backing Aretha Franklin on "Jump To It." She sang the Tammi Terrell duets with Marvin Gaye on his last tour. She was a KEY singer for Luther Vandross - oh how he loved her. When he passed away, Paulette returned to her love of Jazz.

Her insanely deep discography includes a Who's Who of Living Legends and those who we no longer have to grace our world. One of those is Donny Hathaway. He and Tennyson Stephens wrote a song FOR Paulette called "Chasing the Sun." That made its way to Quincy Jones who was so taken that he invited the adored subject of the track to join him - via tour and musical project. "Body Heat" and "Mellow Madness" respectively. Oh those doors that opened...and this Beautiful Angel walked through them.

The reason for the visit on 9/17 at two p.m. Eastern: her crown jewel, "A Woman's Story." This DEFINITIVE collection of who Paulette McWilliams is: re-imagined songs by those she admired/admires - that she has always wanted to record.  Arranged and produced by the two-time Grammy winner, Kamau Kenyatta, the musicians surrounding our Goddess were hand picked to focus on important subjects - all the more so in 2020. Yours truly has never anticipated a second visit MORE than this one.
