One of the most precious conversations that we have had on the show was with Michael Silverman - in regard to his brother, Rob. You could FEEL the love that was expressed. Here's why: years ago, older Rob worked hard to make sure that Michael could play piano. He didn't want his brother to feel left out concerning ANY musical endeavors that came ROB'S way. And let us just say: the unselfishness resulted in BIG rewards for both siblings. They have truly built an EMPIRE together!

You may have heard about Autumn Hill Records. Here's what the website says: "5 billion streams and counting: the worldwide leader in instrumental music." This is just the tip of the iceberg in describing who Rob Silverman is. He's the PRESIDENT of the company that he and Michael created. He's an author - "Music Marketing in the New Music Economy" - plus five instructional books about a subject that he knows well: DRUMMING :)

Which leads us to the reason for Rob's visit: his spectacular "Drumology" album. Composed and produced by Jay Oliver and Michael Silverman (partner for life, right?!), this has been a dream fulfilled for our guest. He plays duets with his favorite drummers - with accompanying music from his friends. And recorded in a dozen states!  By the way, one of those friends on this project is Eric Marienthal - Rob has played in Eric's band. So this FRIENDS focus is important to both Silvermans.

Honestly, there's not enough to be said about the brilliance of this man. The respect for his artistry and business acumen cannot be understated. Martin Scorsese and Ken Burns know his name - since the Silverman name has been involved in THEIR projects. Music festivals have been founded and sponsored in that revered name. Charitable work has been done - quietly. (this is how you recognize greatness). This host is proud to welcome the amazing Rob Silverman - on 8/27!
