There are a GAZILLION things to say about Brian Auger.  There is no possible way to give you a complete biography here.  So, enjoy these highlights :)  THIS legendary, all-emcompassing keyboardist/Hammond Master, was at the right place, right time.  At the intersection of the early 60's "refresher course" on Blues & Soul in London.  Boom!  Here comes "The British Invasion."  Attention was being paid MIGHTILY to all the music emerging from the U.K. Thus, folks were hearing what Brian was creating.

"Steampacket" in the MID-60's blew minds.  Rod Stewart, Long John Baldry & Julie Driscoll: Mod Goddess in the frenzy of Carnaby Street stalkers.  When Brian's partnership with Jools resulted in "This Wheel's On Fire" (preceding the release of same on the Band's "Music From Big Pink"), folks were REALLY paying attention.

Auger's Trinity - then Oblivion Express - attracted attention that cannot be addressed ENOUGH.  Even when he wasn't known outside of the West End club where he played - decades ago - big name celebrities were drawn to his astounding expertise.  I'm talking Billie Holiday :-O

B.A.'s BACK story is worthy of film, too.  Self-taught on piano at THREE, his home was bombed during World War II. When the family was able to return, his player piano was intact!  He'd perform for neighborhood kids - while discovering his love for Jazz via Armed Forces Radio & his brother's record collection.  That joy of inspiration, combined with his love of R & B, paved the way for over 50 years of success.  Marry those genres to Rock - and you have your introduction to an Icon.

Brian's about to tour with his Oblivion Express - new music's about to pop.  He is PSYCHED!  You'll FEEL that on 4/12!
