Where do we POSSIBLY begin with Nils Jiptner?  So many already know the story - but maybe not ALL :)  Our guest arrived in Los Angeles from his native Munich in the mid-80's.  Not longer after he settled, he bought a Custom Valley Arts guitar - which has stood the test of time WELL.

Nils had been playing guitar since his teens - in love, initially, with the sound of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.  Then discovering Funk via Nile Rogers and Paul Jackson, Jr.  And JAZZ!  Yellow Jackets and Larry Carlton "spoke" to him.  Digging deep into the well of his ears and his experience, he managed to build a beautiful studio and word got around that Nils and his studio were COOKIN'!

Honing his sound and knowing how he wanted to convey it, Nils was playing as much as he could - as well as producing and writing.  By the second recording, he had found a permanent home on Contemporary Jazz outlets.  Do you know the significance of "Pacific Coast Highway?"  To say that this breathtaking "break through" anthem was beloved by thousands might be an understatement.  It was Billboard's Song of the DECADE: 2000 - 2010!  Nils also had a Song of the Year in 2011 ("Jump Start") - and over 15 Top 20 Radio hits.

This brilliant artist has shared the stage with George Benson, Nathan East, The Temptations and a myriad of others.  He has given us two handfuls of intoxicating and unforgettable music - and the culmination of that expertise and feeling you'll hear on "PLAY."  The new set of gifts for us - due on March 16th!  Nils wanted to share the JOY of playing that old friend - the guitar that he bought so many years ago.  With celebrated friends who longed to feel that joy WITH him.  YOU'LL feel it, too.  Join us on 3/6/2018 at 3 p.m. Eastern.
