Seriously, yours truly cannot imagine anyone better to join the show regarding this important and frequently painful subject. Jere B knows a LOT about the daily disrespect that musicians encounter.  The assumptions that are made regarding those who play music are staggering!  That artists perform for "the love" - not money.  That anyone else deserves to be paid for a grand opening, for example, but not the very reason why people choose to STAY at the opening: the musicians.

Recently, there have been several Facebook friends who have posted heartfelt calls for unity regarding treatment of music-oriented peers.  And that has expanded to how we perceive one another.  Meaning this: understanding of why artists do what they need to do in order to survive.  Economically AND mentally.  This is deep!

We only have a two-hour show this time - so what needs to be said must be valuable and constructive.  The number to call is 323 - 843 - 6172.  Jere B, noted drummer/composer/producer/mentor/minister/CEO, will be with me from the start of the episode.  He is very concerned about the nightmare of companies that seemingly dismiss artists as inconsequential to their businesses - when those artists are the very means by which those companies make money!  EVERYONE knows what is being said here.  And those businesses add insult to injury by enticing fans to buy the lies that industry rapists are pitching. How do we stop this insanity?  How do we pave a way for musicians to feed their families - and create the kind of lives that doctors, lawyers, and other professionals have enjoyed?  This needs discussion - and ONGOING discussion.

Join us on 7/27 at SIX p.m. Eastern.  We welcome the sincere conversation of those who are affected by this topic.  You are appreciated more than you know!
