Experiencing the resume of Tom Braxton could make you tired - this lovely man, a superb saxophonist and composer - has been there and done that.  Sometimes, several times :)

Training came early - in Lubbock, Texas.  Dad, as tenor saxman himself and violinist, made sure his interested little guy heard the LEGENDS.  And put a piano and alto sax in front of him.  Tom was a dedicated student, becoming valedictorian in high school - and graduating Summa Cum Laude from college.  Track and Music scholarships.  See how lean Tom Braxton is?  That track was a good idea, right? Hah!

In his college years, our guest formed a Jazz fusion band that opened for Joe Sample, Stanley Clarke, George Howard and more.  Bernard Wright, keyboardist and producer, partnered with Tom on his debut, "Your Move."  Bernard was also responsible for introducing Tom to Wayman Tisdale.  As fate would have it, those two spiritual souls became friends and collaborators for years.  Tom would have more musical endeavors - with beloved names that have since passed.  As mentioned, Joe Sample - and Luther Vandross, Jeff Golub, and George Duke.  Maybe he might share some private stories....we won't press him.  Some memories are just too precious to share.

Our friend is very proud of his most recent project - with trumpeter Robert Sanae.  Released last year, it's called "The Other Side."  It's good to hear the chemistry between them.  That's what Tom does: creates the atmosphere for honest good vibes.  It's in his soul.  It's what he learned from Dad - and it continued with that beautiful relationship he had with Wayman. Whatever Tom has created through these many years of playing, it has given us a sense of joy and peace.  FEEL it when Mr. B. joins us on 5/9/17 at two p.m. Eastern.  We start at ONE :)
