Whew!  Just reading about Charley Langer's background is spinning my head - in a GOOD way :)  Boulder raised, he is the son of a geophysicist who loved Jazz and Big Band music.  Dad had another career in mind - but son had another - and Charley received his Masters degree in Performance from the University of Southern California.  But he displayed MULTIPLE talents. He was a fundraiser for radio station KUSC and he became an environmental specialist that focused on hazardous waste sites. This enabled him to make the money needed to pursue his musical dreams.  He stayed away for a while - but a popular artist in Honolulu, Jon Basebase, encouraged him to begin anew.  Charley actually lived in Hawaii for a time.  And that vibe that he felt there remained - don't think that he didn't bring a little island joy to "Happy Hour."  Oh, it's THERE!

Charley has been a busy saxman in his adopted Northern California.  He has been playing the fertile winery circuit to appreciative crowds - in duo form or with a VERY cool tribute band called Steelin' Dan :)  Since 2010, fans have been paying even more attention - that's when his "Never the Same" launched Charley Fever.  As a contented husband and family man, he is adamant about retaining positive energy in his music.  And "Happy Hour" tells the story more than what can be said HERE.  The fabulous Nils is behind the production - and he played on the album as well as wrote or co-wrote (with Charley) the brimming-with-life songs that you hear.  Terrific musicians are heard here - like Nate Harasim and Darryl Williams.  And our guest is enjoying an enormous response to his new work.  That's what happens when intentions are good.  You get a response from the Universe that signals its pleasure.  Some of us call that God at work.  Charley knows!  See you on 4/13!
