The double digit dates haven't started yet - we're two days away from December 10th - so some of us are relaxing.  The sweat comes when we realize that Christmas is breathing down our necks :)  To help with the sweat: Jumpin' Jazz and Blue-Eyed Soul from a woman who has a right to sing ALL of it - blissfully versatile Marilyn Scott!

That voice is going to conjure some images for you, full of energy and passion - and FUN!  Our much-respected artist has been thrilling us for years - over a dozen albums to her name.  Marilyn has been an in-demand vocalist, garnering praise and a Grammy nomination - for Marilyn's take on "The Look of Love", produced by George Duke.

This Southern California native learned EARLY what she wanted in life.  An epiphany occurred in her teens when she trekked to the Monterey Pop Festival - and feasted her ears on Janis Joplin, Lou Rawls and Otis Redding.  Marilyn honed her own craft so well that was asked to work with a myriad of Jazz and Soul artists - Hiroshima, Bobby Womack, Etta James and Bobby Caldwell among them.

A new album is expected in 2015 - but let's focus on NOW.  Marilyn Scott's "Get Christmas Started" is a party and a half!  Treasured holiday songs are full of new life, and the vibes from Philly to Memphis to Motown are COVERED.  We so need the kick that Marilyn gives us - the kind of holiday cheer that makes you want to get up and dance, or sing along - at the top of your lungs :)

We'll start the show at one - and we've got two hours to get Christmas started - are you IN?  Join us in The Chat Room! One of the hottest singers with some kind of slammin' resume is gonna entertain you.  You'll feel as though 12/25 has already arrived
