Gerry Crispin is a lifelong student of recruiting. He actively promotes the notion that Talent Acquisition is the ‘point’ of HR, that every stakeholder in the hiring process (including candidates) should have basic needs addressed and that for recruiters to be truly proud of who they are as professionals- they need a stand-alone professional association to have their back.
Gerry and his business partner, Chris Hoyt, facilitate peer-to-peer, competitive practice conversations with TA leaders from some of the world’s largest and most innovative corporations. The CareerXroads Colloquium is a 100 member community devoted to helping one another.
Gerry co-authored eight books on the evolution of staffing and has written 100s of articles and whitepapers on similar topics. His career in Human Resources spans more than 40 years as a practitioner, vendor and consultant since his graduation from Stevens Institute of Technology with his BE and advanced degrees in Management Science and IO/Psychology.
He keeps his perspective fresh is by traveling, interviewing government officials, university professors and students while observing recruiters, job seekers and visiting employers in at least one country every year. In November 2015, he headed off to Cuba with 25 heads of HR and TA. Next year...Japan.
