Dee Dee Ricks was living her dream—she had a successful business, two beautiful kids, and a whirlwind social life. Then, at age 39, breast cancer changed her world. In the HBO documentary “The Education of Dee Dee Ricks” Director Perri Peltz candidly tracks the emotional rebirth of a survivor determined to help make life easier for less fortunate cancer patients even as she undergoes her own grueling treatment.

Dee Dee is a true humanitarian, for at a time when most would only have enough strength to care for themselves, she put’s her whole heart into saving the lives of others less fortunate.

The accomplishments of this most kindred spirit are many, she will continue to work tirelessly until these injustices are put to an end. Please join me as I delve into the heart of Miss Dee Dee Ricks.
