Carolyn is a published author. She wrote an essay entitled "Leading the Troops" for The Heart of a Mother, which was an anthology of stories by women affected by congenital heart defects. Carolyn's essay was in the Mothers with Congenital Heart Defects chapter and detailed her efforts to become a mother.
