On the Wednesday, March 12th 2014 broadcast at 10AM Pacfic/1PM Eastern my guest is Patricia S. Meisner, CEO and Co-Founder of ActualMeds fka AdhereTx.

'Patricia brings 25 years of executive operating experience from both early stage and mature companies  in the medical device, diagnostics, life science companies, including Invitrogen, T Cell Sciences and Sigma Aldrich Corporation.  She has brought multiple new products to market in the areas of HIV monitoring; cancer diagnostics, pharmaceutical drug discovery.  Prior to founding ActualMeds , Patricia founded RedTail Solutions, a Software as a Service (SaaS) company serving middle-market manufacturers in the global supply chain. While serving as its CEO (2000-2008), she established a new revenue and business model in this segment and built a capital-efficient business that achieved  profitability in 2007. Patricia holds a B.A. degree in Biology from Kenyon College, an M.S.  in Biochemistry and an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.

ActualMeds  provides web-based solutions to facilitate patient data collection and automate coordination of care for Medication Management in patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetes, etc. . The solution is optimized for older adult patients who typically have multiple chronic conditions and the most complex therapeutic regimens.

This program, developed in part with funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) , captures patient self-reported information  about Observations of Daily Living (ODL), medications ( including Rx, OTC and supplements) and symptoms and conditions, as structured data.  It also receives  biometric data such as blood pressure, weight or blood glucose from devices.'
