Join us on February 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. PST and 7:00 p.m. EST live for a wonderful show with host Denise Messenger and her guest Nika Beamon.  Nika C. Beamon is a veteran television journalist working in New York. She attended Boston College.  Beamon is the author of the well-received non-fiction book, I Didn’t Work This Hard Just to Get Married (Chicago Review Press, 2009), which explores the challenges and issues affecting single women.  She published her first memoir: Misdiagnosed: The Search for Dr. House in 2014. Written in a conversational and brutally honest fashion, Misdiagnosed is the tale of her 17 year quest to find treatment for a rare autoimmune disorder. It also provides tips to help readers avoid the same fate.  She will be informing listeners on the important issues facing us in the medical field.  Also she will be talking about her journey.  In 2000, Beamon published her first mystery novel, Dark Recesses, the poignant tale of a young attorney uncovers a web at his family’s reunion. In 2002, she completed her second mystery novel, Eyewitness.
She has been a reviewer for Publisher's Weekly Magazine and QBR: The Quarterly Black Book Review Magazine, as well as various websites.  Beamon is also a member of the Great Black Speakers Bureau and the Writers Guild of America East.  You asked for it and we deliver!
