The idea suggests that the largest living organism on Earth is Earth Herself. And it has become clear that the concept of Gaia has as many religious implications as scientific ones. I have some excerpts of an article by John Michael Gear which I want to share. It first appeared in PanGaia magazine in the Winter of ’06, called “Beyond Gaia; the Rebirth of Eco Paganism. Then we’ll look at the magick of Geomancy. Geomancy, from the Greek words geo, the earth, and manteya, prophecy, originated centuries ago in the Arab world where the art of sand-divining is still in common practice. Along with that we’ve got Energy of Place. Have you ever walked into a house or onto a piece of land and felt strong emotions - either a profound connection or a forceful revulsion? Have you ever traveled someplace and felt as though you’d come home - even though you’ve never been there before? This is called “Energy of Place”. Finally, the end of February brings us The Feast of Ovens. Hope you enjoy the show!01:30:00HawthornenoWiccan,Pagan,Earth-Based Spirituality,Spirituality,OccultThe Gaia Theory is one of the most startling scientific theories to emerge in recent years.
