Tune in to a recap about Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week while the Gullah/Geechee face a tropical storm.  Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) will provide an overview of the numerous successes achieved during "Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week" and will discuss the celebration of Black August and the remainder of this year's #GullahGeechee2020 activities.  Just as the week of celebration came to a close, the Gullah/Geechee Nation shifted to hurricane preparedness mode.  Today, Tropical Storm Isaias is making its way through parts of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and may again become a hurricane and make landfall before it leaves the northern area of the Gullah/Geechee Nation.   Yet, in the eye of the storm, the leaders of the Gullah/Geechee Nation are contining in their vision to keep their nation sustained and thriving for centuries to come.
