As a student of scripture, I’ve, like many, prostrated myself before the writing of James the brother of Christ, ‘’Submit yourselves, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you’’, is in context with our study of James 4:1-10: Submit Yourselves to God

4 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures...

When your voice is failing, the coughing will not stop, the icky feeling will not go away, you want relief, that was my twin sister, three days ago. Ola for a month of days has suffered from the latest influenza bugs. We talked on the phone, her symptoms were as I’ve described them, I wanted to get her off of the phone my advice was to drink her a hot toddy and go to bed in the middle of the day and rest in the loving arms of the Lord; I did not want her to continue to talk about the negativity of her feelings, such words seep into our sub-conscious and prolong your discomfort...
