Hello, everyone, this is the Grover Weaver Ministries online Sunday School class the theme of the week is the sentiments of Leviticus 19:11 -- ''Do not lie''... Welcome.

The text is always the weekly curriculum of the International Sunday School Lesson, Genesis 27:5-10, 18-29, for the week of November 11, 2018, the Midterm week of 2018; a week where the Democrats flipped the Republican Congress over 3 dozens seats, 7 governor races, ballot counting is still going on in Republican strongholds such as, Georgia, Flordia, and Arizona. Way to go Big Blue!

Mother Jones an online news analysis site called the midterms the greatest political blowout in modern history; unemployment is low; GDP is growing; wages are rising; inflation is tooling along; consumer spending is strong; consumer confidence is at a 40-year high. But, this election was not ‘’about the economy, stupid’’. This election was about the lies told and the policies that shocked the conscience and violated the constitution; the Republican’s agenda was repudiated in suburban and urban neighborhoods and emboldened in rural America.

The religious and political context of this week’s commentary is the lies of distraction to hide the devastation...

As I read, Genesis 27, there is this sensory perception of the taste of Rebekah the mother’s savory dish of so-called venison and the smell of Esau the oldest son’s cloth worn by Jacob the younger son and the hairy feel of Jacob’s hands and neck from the skin of the kid goat to deceive Isaac the blind and dying father to get the blessing before his brother returns from his hunt. I watched our petulant child of a president face the nation on the morning after, for as long as he could in keep it together while ducking and dodging to not take responsibility for the devastating losses by the GOP during the midterms.
