Hello everyone this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show’s commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson founded in Hebrew 3:1-6 & Matthew 7:24-29. I am Grover Weaver, your Minister and Sunday School teacher, welcome to the broadcast...
Class, when we compare and contrast the goodness and greatness of Moses and the goodness and greatness of Jesus, Jesus wins hands down. Which is the focus of the writer of Hebrew 3:1-6a.
Moses is an officiator in the house of God and Jesus in Lord of the house. The question to these Jewish believers is who has the greater glory in the building of God’s house in the dispensation of Law and the dispensation of Grace.
Both had humble birth, Moses was born under a sentence of death, Jesus’s birth triggered Rachel’s wailing in Ramah when Herod killed all of the children under 2 in the year of his birth in Judah with the intent of killing Jesus. A time similar to the days in Egypt when Pharaoh sought to kill all Hebrew’s male children during the time of Moses’ birth.
Praise the Lord. When God has a plan for your life the gates of hell can not stand against it...
it would be a gloss neglect on my part to not address the ‘’if’ clause’’ of Hebrew 3:6b. “We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in’’.
If we be strong and hold on and take pride in our divine selection for being chosen to spend eternity with the Lord of Host, we win in the end.
It goes without saying, if you quit you forfeit your occupancy to this heavenly home which Christ has prepared for them who ‘’love their neighbour as themselves.’’...
