Hello everyone this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show’s commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson founded in Isaiah 40:21-31. I am Grover Weaver, your Minister and Sunday School teacher, welcome to the broadcast.

The Book of Isaiah is centered on the Babylonian exile. And, show forth God’s punishment to the Jewish people for their sins of idolatry. The Children of Israel was put  in timeout, via bondage; to Satan. God put them in 586 BC and took them out in 539 BC. God did it after he promised to do for their sinful ways and only an Almighty God could take them out at the time he took them out.

He gave a name to Satan and called him Nebuchadnezzar,ll, and a spirit of hate for the people of God; in his giving to kings He gave a Christlike Spirit to Cyrus of Persia to induce an act of redemption to let ‘’my people go’’ to worship me.

Scholars of Scriptures are divided on the authorship of the book. Some say one man wrote all of the 66 chapters; some say one author wrote the first 39 chapters, many call chapters 40 to 66 the second Book of Isaiah someone else wrote chapters 40 - 55 and another person wrote 56-66.  I don’t know! All I know it would not have been written if the Holy Spirit had not breath on holy men to take their pen and write...

The first 39 chapters warn of God’s Judgement on the people if they place their trust in human rule rather than God’s; chapters 40 -55 is the present promise of redemption to the people who are going through what they have been warned about.  Chapters 56 - 66 is the return of the Jew to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the city and temple. This is the heaven for the O T Jew...
