"The 6-Word Memoir Assignment" ~ In November 2006, writer and editor Larry Smith issued a challenge to those who followed his Web publication, SMITH Magazine. Inspired by Ernest Hemingway's legendary short story, "For sale: Baby shoes, never worn" ~ Smith asked his readers to describe their lives in 6 words. Although the '6-Word Memoir Contest' ended after a month, the stories kept coming. Five years later participants contributed more than half a million mini-memoirs.
Memoirs and autobiographies will be discussed in the virtual classroom on radio tomorrow. We will also reopen your personal 'time vault'. Be open to take a look. . .
