Amber Williams is many things, but first and foremost, she is both a survivor and hustler. She survived homelessness on the streets of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Amber was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in 2016. She is a living testimony of what it means to defy the odds of living with mental illness. While living on the streets, she overcame starvation, sexual assault, and lack of shelter. Also, she is a survivor of attempted suicide. Additionally, she survived her battle with alcoholism and has been sober for several years.

Amber has hustled for the last five years to restore her life. Through resilience, strength, and support, she has gained a second chance at life. In 2019, she began her studies to become a marriage and family therapist (MFT) in California. She also became a mental health advocate through the California Black Women's Health Project (CABWP): Sisters Mentally Mobilized Mental Health Advocate training program.

Currently, she is a fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Minority Fellowship Program. Both her education and her lived experience inform Amber’s unique ability to inspire and save lives. Amber’s mission is to help build resilience in others and save as many lives as possible in the process.
