A discussion on the definition and meaning of the word, sustainability, and how sustainability had influenced Ruth Ann Barrett's life and career.

In September of 2008, Ruth Ann Barrett and her colleagues, launched the website,, voices of sustainability.  Thus began her work as a sustainability advocate creating through aggregation and curation what is now the largest Web collection of video content on the subject of sustainability.  Her work also involves producing live video streaming content of sustainability-related events and video interviews with the leaders and wisdom keepers who speak on behalf of our Mother Earth.

Ruth Ann Barrett has a Masters of Library and Information Services from the University of Toledo and a B.A. Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University.

In the early 1980's, Ruth Ann Barrett was a high tech marketing executive owner of the direct marketing agency, RED Direct, after working for Hewlett-Packard Users Groups, ComputerLand Corporation, Sun Microsystems, and Informix Software.
