In a forthcoming book, The Case for Patriarchy, Catholic commentator and scholar Timothy J. Gordon examines in detail patriarchy's longstanding justification in Biblical texts and Catholic magisterial teaching.  A massively maligned concept in the modern world, Gordon examines the benefits for families and societies of a properly practiced loving patriarchy in accord with human male and female natures.  Such Christian patriarchy does far more to liberate women than feminism or any other belief system.  Gordon will discuss with show host Andrew E. Harrod how the abandonment of this patriarchy in the Western world has hurt society's vital basis in the family and how to restore a biblically-based, abundant patriarchial life, among other matters.
