ACCORDING TO THE QUR'AN AND THE HISTORICAL RECORD, where do we find the RATIFICATION of the Covenant that Allah took with "those who call themselves  Christians," in accordance with Surah 5:14?

The Cross and the Crescent is a group meeting between Christians and Muslims discussing various issues between Islam and Christianity.  This week the topic of discussion is:  Where do we find in the Quran the covenant between Allah and Christians?  We have discussed how the Quran condemns those people who associate partners with Allah (Christians) to hell.  Now we are going to take the next step and try to figure out what was this covenant that Christians had broken with Allah.
