1.) Kawhi Leonard has officially signed a 3 year, max deal with the L.A. Clippers, with a 3rd year player option. He can now become a free agent in 2021, along with Paul George. This deal also lines up with him qualifying for the 10 year veteran, 35% max.
2.) The OKC Thunder are reportedly working with Russell Westbrook and his camp to trade him. The Miami Heat and Westbrook appear to have mutual interest, and league executives consider Miami to be the prohibitive favorites.
3.) Jerami Grant was traded to the Denver Nuggets into a trade exception in exchange for Denver’s 2020 1st round pick (1-10 Protected). The deal saves OKC $39 M in salary and luxury tax.
4.) It was reported that LeBron James will be the Lakers starting PG this upcoming season, but Frank Vogel has since pushed back on that.
5.) Marcus Morris may be reneging on his commitment to the San Antonio Spurs in favor of a more lucrative deal with the New York Knicks.
6.) Sean Livingston was waived by the Warriors, leaving only Steph, Klay, and Draymond from their first title team.
