Having exhorted the Galatians to walk by and bear the fruit of the Spirit, Paul turned his attention to final encouragements. The spiritual have a debt to their brothers: help them stand. But ultimately, everyone stands on his own "accomplishments" in Christ. "Have fellowship in all good things (i.e., fruit of the Spirit) with the one who taught you," was Paul's admonition.
Is it difficult to walk faithfully with Jesus? Some compromised the message to keep from being persecuted. "Don't faint," was Paul's exhortation. "You'll reap the results of your faithfulness in due time."
So, where was the boasting? Not in urging a brother to compromise his faith through receiving circumcision; but in the cross of Jesus!
