Paul had chosen Silas. Together they would return to the cities of his first tour in Asia (Minor). Along the way he intended to oick up Timothy as his servant/trainee.
And so began his protracted venture into the realm of the Gentiles. He was unmistakenly and irresistably driven by the Spirit into new territory; where no preacher had ever presented Jesus before.
First, however, he made sure the earlier churches were doing well. He strengthened and encouraged them. Delivering the Acts 15 decrees along the way, he helped them grow in faith and number.
When he finally sailed from Troas to Neapolis he set his sights on Philippi, met Lydia and led many to Jesus. What happened next is for us to learn later,
