Jesus' last day, filled with world-changing events, thrust His apostles into actions they could not have imagined. In fact, most dared to tell Jesus He was wrong about them!
Judas bargained to sell Him out for money and Peter swore that he would never deny Jesus. Yet, Jesus loved them all and shared His last meal with them.
We'll begin to note the complete control Jesus had over these final events. The counsel said: "Not during the feast, so as to avoid a riot." But Jesus had to die on the Passover and His will prevailed. (They did not conquer Him. They did it His way!)
Jesus, after praying alone in the Garden, saw all of His disciples run in fear while He was led away for trial. During the trial, Peter failed Him three times; then bawled bitterly at his weakness.
