Our Constitution: Foundation and Principles

Where do American values now lie with the recent killing of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) by our Supreme Court?  

What action will be taken by American 501(c)3 churches when they are forced to perform Gay and Lesbian marriages or face loss of their 502(c)3 status?  

These are questions that must be faced now!

The institution of marriage is thousands of years old and has been defined in every culture throughout history as outside the purview of governments.   The family and this institution has always been a sacred commitment, made between a man and a woman, under the moral authority of God.

I have always said that the only reason that the Gay and Lesbian community have wanted to marry was for the governmental benefits.  Now that they have achieved, through Hate Crime and Discrimination legislation a sense of

perceived normalcy, they have, with this ludicrous ruling, attained their original goal of attaining "benefits" from the government that they previously did not have access to.
