Who hasn't heard of the Parable of the Prodigal Son? It's one of the most well-know parables that Christ ever gave. But the parable's only called by that name because of church tradition. Jesus never called it that. It's just as legitimate to call it "The Parable of the Loving Father." Why? Because it's all ABOUT the loving father: HE's the main character, not the son, and he should get all the credit. Christ gave this parable as a way of talking about His OWN Father, His HEAVENLY Father, welcoming back with great joy His sons and His daughters who have really made a mess of things in life. He wipes their slates clean, and treats them as if He has no rememberance of their offenses against Him. Join me, your host Rev. Rick Anderson this Thursday 9:30 pm DST, on "Jewish Roots", a LIVE Internet pod-cast  through  www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew.  On listen through www.scripturesdramatized.com.
