Examining issues and challenges faced by the volunteer firefighter today.  Being a professional firefighter has nothing to do with earning a paycheck but has everything to do with attitude, appearance, commitment and dedication.

This episode's guest is Candice McDonald who is a volunteer firefighter in the Winona (Ohio) Fire Department and is associated with the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association.  She will be discussing "Reputation Management" and how we can work within our firehouses to prevent behavior that is detrimental to the reputation of the fire service. She will offer tips and provide information and ideas on how to implement safeguards in your firehouse  to protect it from reputational threats AND from making headlines for the WRONG reasons. She will also offer ideas as to how social media can be used in a positive way to recruit new members as well as show the public the professional service your volunteer fire department provides!
