Examining issues and challenges faced by the volunteer firefighter today.  Being a professional firefighter has nothing to do with earning a paycheck but has everything to do with attitude, appearance, commitment and dedication.

Tonight's show will feature a conversation with Dr. David Hostler, who is a professor and chair of the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Services at the University at Buffalo. He has been involved in extensive research over the year focusing on firefighter's health and wellness and has been the principle investigator of four FEMA funded trails examining advanced recovery techniques for firefighters. Join us as we talk about the importance of proper rehabilitation techniques at the fire scene  and other health and wellness topics important to the fire service. Dr. Hostler also has 28 years experience in public safety serving as a firefighter, paramedic, dive medic and hazardous materials technician.
