Last week Gary and Robin talked to Doug about his book co-authored with Elmer Towns, The Ten Greatest Revivals Ever. This week Gary talks to Doug about the Biblical Process of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the Promises associated with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This outline as Doug describes is a long neglected aspect of the Holy Spirit’s work in this age which he believes best explains what happens during times of revival and awakening. As God pours out His Spirit, that initiates a chain reaction that if unhindered ultimately transforms the culture. This is how some of the world’s most pagan cultures have become centers of Christianity throughout history (i.e., Rome; Germany; London; Seoul, etc.) and why we still believe there is hope for our own country despite the evidence to the contrary. In his D.Min. dissertation at Liberty, Doug looked at the relationship between and evangelical revival and world evangelism and concluded our best hope for reaching our world (and especially world class cities of a million or more people) is in an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.01:00:00Fellowship RadionoPastor,Christian ministry, church leadership, church life, leadership developmentThis Thursday’s program is part two with Dr. Doug Porter as he describes the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
