Join Family of a Vet Life after Combat Radio show host Debbie Sprague for a difficult, and tender hearted interview with Janet Burroway, author of eight novels, numerous plays, musicals and a Lawton Distinguished Professor Emerita at the Florida State University.  Janet is also the mother of Tim – An Army Captain, Ranger, Paratrooper, and contractor for humanitarian mine removal in Iraq.

After Tim committed suicide, two months after returning home from Iraq Janet wrote a memoir  - “Losing Tim” about her son’s despair, shame, moral injury and suicide, and searches for the answer to the question “why”? Join us for an open and hard look at a young man who succumbed while fighting wars in two theaters, public and private.
