A Run For A Cause

Today on Family Talk we will be discussing Praxis and The Long Haul 100. As we all know Haiti has gone through major devastation and today's guest will share with us what they are doing to help those in Haiti Our guests today are Jen Pearson & Gina Concepcion.

This is extreme race with an extreme cause. The race consists of 100 miles to be completed within 28 hours. The Long Haul 100 commemorates the earthquake that devastated Haiti one year ago in January and it benefits Praxis Haiti. Praxis Haiti is a non-profit started by 3 local Tampa Bay area families, who will be relocating to Lavanneau, Haiti. Three young families relocating to Haiti is extreme but so is the difference they can make with your help!

Praxis believes that by living with the people they seek to serve they will help to restore their selfrespect, dignity, vision, imagination, and hope. The goal of Praxis is to build a center for agricultural training and research, restore agricultural quality and increase yields in a farming community, and redevelop social and economic activity in an area that was once vibrant.
