Chris Balkema, Illinois 11th CD Candidate

Chris Balkema has a documented history of leadership and service. He is a manager at Caterpillar in Joliet and a sitting Grundy County Board Member. He started his public service by running and winning a seat on the Minooka District 111 School Board.

He believes in fewer taxes, less government intrusiveness and more accountability. His leadership skills in business and government have given him the flexibility to address many difficult issues. In business, Chris has implemented strategies to adjust to a local as well as a global market. In government, he has proven to be a fiscally responsible voice representing the taxpayer in Grundy County’s 2nd District.

Chris graduated from Taylor University with a B.S. Degree in Business Systems and obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Bradley University. Chris, his wife Jill, and their sons Luke and Max, make their home in Channahon, Illinois.

Mr. Balkema is now running for 11th Congressional seat as a Republican championing the view that our government becomes more accountable with our tax dollars, more answerable in its spending, and more effective in its oversight, something sorely lacking in Washington D.C.
