This is a monster. ” According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institute of Health, “We have to do something about this and…quickly.” He also said that we are at 40K cases per day, and we will be going to 100K cases pr day, soon, if we don’t stop it now." That was about a week ago. He was correct. We have just hit 60,000 cases per day. That's eventually going to mean another 3000 deaths per day. 3000 people who won't celebrate another birthday, won't get to see their grandchildren come into this world, won't graduate from high school, college, get married, start that new, promising job...3000 families who are devastated. Hillary Adams, the survivor of these repeated beatings by her father is now 23 yrs old. She is an articulate, beautiful young woman who has decided to release this tape to "get (her) father the help he needs." Whatever the motivation for holding the tape back, and releasing it now, clearly this woman was brutalized - repeatedly - by her father as a child. Hillary's mother, Hallie, was complicit in this abuse, but it appears that she, too, was a victim of this vile, poor excuse for a human being's abuse. Those first three verdicts were for Murder 1, 2, and Manslaughter. "Not Guilty" for all three counts involving the death of Caylee. The four guilty verdicts involved charges of knowingly and willingly providing false information to law enforcement. In my mind I was taken back to October 3 1995. That morning several of us were standing around a small TV in the kitchen of a rural town radio station waiting for the verdict to be read in the OJ Simpson Murder Trial. The Jury had delivered the verdict at 3 p.m. the previous day - after only four hours of deliberation. Judge Ito, however, decided to wait for one day before having the verdict read to the world. The reactions - and comments - were virtually identical - even though there were different people present, and the cases were some 16 years apart. In my opinion Casey Anthony is as innocent as OJ Simpson. The case against Anthony was mostly circumstantial, but very few murder cases have eye witnesses, or even DNA. So now what? The Republicans are proving themselves to be the party of regression. Bachman and others called the present economic situation a depression. They would have been correct if Bush had done any more damage. Bush, and his lackeys absolutely knew this was coming. In the last month before Election 2008, Bush said that he only hoped this economic collapse would have held off until after he left office. Let the next guy deal with it. Well, the next guy is dealing with it. We are all dealing with it. Most people have no idea just how close we came to economic extinction. Had Obama, the Democrats, and "We the Taxpayers" not helped the American Auto Industry, we would be in a depression that would make the Great Depression of the last century look like an economic toe stubbing. And I'd like to know just when adding jobs became a negative, and losing jobs a positive. Why is it that a loss of 780,000 jobs in one month better than a one month gain of 54,000 jobs. That's what the Republicans are trying to sell us, and, as I said, "I'm not buying." The governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, said that the media reporting his private use of a State Police helicopter is just a distraction - really? Christie said that he had health care budget and pension shortfalls on which he needed to focus his attention, so if paying $2100 out of his pocket back to the state would allow him to focus on his job - he would do it. He also said that his $2100 check would add to the state police budget surplus. That was a snide remark. Christie then focused his attention on cutting state worker's pensions, and family health care to families who earn "too much money."
