We have always had the same dilemma with nearly every breeder we encountered; communication!  We always wanted to keep breeders on the phone forever and ask them any question that came to my mind, however we knew that was not possible since they have personal lives just like we do our selves. He had a very large collection of dead insects by the time he had completed elementary school. He also enjoyed watching and caring for live, captive bugs. Before long, he had managed to acquire many of the various species stick-insect available in the worldwide hobby. In 2001, Peter made his first trip to Arizona and this trip caused him to really expand his interests beyond phasmids as a group. Slowly, Peter evolved into a bug generalist and this broad fascination in everything large, small and in between continues to this day, ranging from tarantulas and scorpions to the smallest springtails found in his own backyard.  About us: ?We are reptiles enthusiasts from Brooklyn, New York and we have always been some of the many that ask ALOT of questions about an animal before buying them. She discovered her passion for dart frogs five years ago when she stumbled upon a small vivarium with baby dart frogs in a local pet shop. From that moment forward, she delved into building vivariums and perfecting that craft, as well as the keeping and breeding of many different kinds of dart frogs. Fast forward to now, her collection has expanded to include Day Geckos, Panther Chameleons, Chamaeleolis Barbatus, Crested Geckos, and many other miscellaneous small jungle creatures, totaling at about 50 species and 300 specimens. Alongside her passion for keeping and breeding these beautiful creatures, she focuses on educating about these lesser known exotics in simple terms, specifically about their keeping and breeding. She uses YouTube to post tutorials for frequently asked questions as well as feeding videos and room tours! In addition, she shares her day to day life as an exotics keeper, helpful care tidbits, and the antics of her specimens on her Instagram page   About Us: We are reptiles enthusiasts from Brooklyn, New York and we have always been some of the many that ask ALOT of questions about an animal before buying them. It all started with a passion for dinosaurs and he considers himself lucky that he never grew out of that wonder. He has been a small scale breeder, a large scale breeder, and an educator in the community.     In 2002 he co-founded the Chameleons! eZine at www.Chameleonnews.com and produced 11 issues before passing the reigns on. In 2013 he started the Dragon Strand Chameleon Caging Company (www.dragonstrand.com) to provide cages made for chameleon keepers by chameleon keepers. These cages are made in the US and are constantly being personally tested to ensure they meet the needs of the community. It is here that Bill invented the patent pending Dragon Ledges which allow the mounting of horizontal branches and plants on the side of screen walls.   In 2015 Bill started the Chameleon Breeder Podcast (www.chameleonbreeder.com) which releases a chameleon-centric show every Friday. The show’s motto “Learn. Understand. Pass It On” encapsulates the purpose as we learn about the world through our love for these modern day dragons. This podcast can be found on iTunes, IHeartRadio, Stitcher, online, or its own dedicated iOS app. Chameleon Breeder Podcast was also the winner of The Reptile Report Best Radio Show of the Year for 2016!   He currently resides in California with his wife, Yvette, and two Shiba inus. Using his skill, stregnth, and common sense, Jay ran a successful commercial fishing business for almost 10 years.  All of this hard work at such a young age earned Jay the privilege of being featured in National Geographic Magazine.  Jay decided to leave the fishing business for something that would give him more time at home. Jay’s long time passion was keeping and breeding the Indian Python (python molurus molurus) a rare and endangered snake. Once he had successfully bred them his home, Jay decided to start up another business. This time it wasn’t just a survival instinct, it was doing something he loved. The 23-year-old Brewer and his wife bought Pet Country, a small pet store in Fountain Valley, Ca. With the success of the exotic breeding programs and a thriving wholesale/retail business, expansion was inevitable. This time Jay had a vision; To build a store that specializes only in reptiles and amphibians. His vision became a reality in April 1990, when he designed and built the first “Prehistoric Pets” in the city of Chino. With the confidence of having three successful businesses in a row, plans were under way to build the flagship store “Prehistoric Pets, the Fountain Valley Superstore”.  Unlike Pet Country, the new  Fountain Valley store would focus only on reptiles, amphibians and all their needs. Jay decided to completely close  Pet Country to make way for the new 5000 square foot Prehistoric Pets Superstore.     01:07:00Empire State Reptiles LivenoReptiles, fun,Animals,Jaybrewer, petsWith a meager $500 inheritance and the guidance of his good friend and mentor “Uncle Louie,” he designed and built a small commercial fishing boat and startedEmpire State Reptiles Live with Morph Markethttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/esrlive/2017/01/28/empire-state-reptiles-live-with-morph-marketPetshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/esrlive/2017/01/28/empire-state-reptiles-live-with-morph-market/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/esrlive/2017/01/28/empire-state-reptiles-live-with-morph-marketSat, 28 Jan 2017 23:30:00 GMTEmpire State Reptiles Live with Morph Market    Tonight's show is sponsored by Symton Black Soldier Fly Solutions  MorphMarket was created by John Lehmann. John's professional experience is in leading software projects at startup and research companies and providing consulting to enterprise corporations. He and wife and three children live in Dallas, Texas. His rediscovery of the reptile hobby some years ago led to the inspiration for MorphMarket, a site designed to make buying and selling reptiles unconventionally easy and fun.   In just over a year after launching, MorphMarket's marketplace has grown to over 10,000 reptiles for sale by over 700 breeders. In 2016, six additional species were added to Ball Pythons, with more being added each month. The most recent development is MorphMarket Europe, which launched in Jaunary to cater to the overseas reptile community.   About us We are reptiles enthusiasts from Brooklyn, New York and we have always been some of the many that ask ALOT of questions about an animal before buying them. We had two natural springs running through our property as well as limestone boulders to climb and explore. I was known for running around barefoot finding and observing newts, salamanders, fish, turtles you name it. Now a days thats known as "herping" back then it was just known as "Kids being kids". I combined my love for color and pattern genetics into animals once I learned about punnet squares in highschool. I used to breed rabbits for show, as well as fancy rats I was more interested in mammals genetics as a older teen and young adult. When I got out on my own having mammals in an apartment was not at all ideal so I spoke with my apartment complex at the time and asked them what animals I could have that would not break my lease....reptiles were allowed. So, because of space constraints and stumbling on the various gorgeous morphs in leopard geckos and the passion of old school breeders I read over on old forums I became obsessed with the Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tails. I got my first male, and not long after acquired a few different tangerines and morphs. Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tails are my main focus. My goal is no head/body spots, and as much of a deep saturation of tangerine and as much carrot tail as I can develop via crossing blood and other lines of tangerine into my leos. (including pacific green my first season as well as my blood /tangerine male). I mainly focus on tremper lined leos but I avoid keeping many visual trempers (if i can avoid it). I'm just not a fan of light sensitivity with me enjoying taking them outdoors for natural light pictures.      00:46:00Empire State Reptiles LivenoLeopardGeckos,Reptiles,Show,ESRLiveTonight's Show is sponsored by Symton Solider Black Fly Solutions Message From Niki: I grew up in the mountains of Pennsylvania. In my household while growing up there was always some sort of animal present, from birds, dogs, snakes to lizards. I was always more of a reptile fanatic. My first reptile ever was actually a Spurred Tortoise (Sulcata Tortoise). That's what implanted the passion and love I have for these reptiles. As I grew older over the years I had the privilege of owning bearded dragons, leopard geckos, ball pythons, tegus, iguanas and savanah monitors. I didn't have a steady income at the time so supplying my reptiles needs were at times difficult for me, so we ended up finding homes or giving my reptiles away. After years pass of not owning a reptile of any sort I decided to pick the hobby back up, since I'm older and have a steady income now I can definitely supply the proper needs for my pet. I looked through all sorts of options but Leopard Geckos stood out too me the most, I absolutely fell in love with all the new morphs and the genetic aspect of it all. I dove straight into them. My goal is to produce strictly quality geckos.. Quality over Quantity. I mainly want to focus on line breeding and maybe strengthening up some blood lines.
