Richard Grossman, L.Ac., O.M.D., Ph.D. Since the age of 16, Richard Grossman has been deeply involved in healing, and spiritual growth. He is both a Doctor of Asian Medicine and an accomplished sound healer and performer. He began his study of Asian Medicine in 1980, and was one of a small handful of Americans to attend the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China. After receiving his Acupuncture License, Richard established a private practice in the Los Angeles area and began teaching at the California Acupuncture College. Throughout this time, shamanism, sound and music have grown to be an increasingly important aspect of his healing work. He utilizes vocal chants and toning, drumming, Tibetan singing bowls, didgeridoos, bells, rattles, conch shells, jaw harps, and a gong, to create a tapestry of sound that is relaxing, healing, and promotes deep inner journeying. This enables a deep entrainment of the brain into states conductive to true healing. Many consider Richard to be a master of gong music. He is the creator of soundJourney, an inner shamanic experience of sound and vibration and is the founder of Heartfeather, where he leads shamanic journeys to Peru, Ecuador, and other parts of the world.
