New Orleans - Education for the African Village
In the wake of Hurrican Katrina and the issues heaped upon the city of New Orleans there lies a movement ventered around a place called the "Black Star Cafe". In this segment we speak to Baakir Tyehimba.
Baakir is better known for the work that he's done creating recreation spaces for children in Algiers point (http://youtu.be/6JdAqVSdp1U).
Baakir is in the process of estahlishing what he calls a "Little Africa" in the midst of Algiers point. In this space he will establish street names and outlets that will reflect the Afrakan culture that he pivots his work upon.
