FROM THE STREETS TO FATHERHOOD

This broadcast segment of "Empowering Men" focuses on the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of fathering after a man has experienced and overcome the challenges of hardcore street life in America's urban cities. 

Our special guest is Mr. Kevin Lockhart, a true overcomer of the challenges of urban street life with a clear destiny ordained by God.  His life exemplifies the passage of New Testament scripture found in Romans 8:28-31.  Listen to the testimony and words of encouragement from this man of God and authentic leader of men.

Kevin Lockhart was born and raised in NYC.  From the age of 14, the streets were his life. Thirty-five years in and out of drugs, gangs, women, jails, homeless, broke and alone. Through God's grace and mercy, he has conquered most obstacles in his way. He has raised his youngest son Dontay, 5 yrs old, since he was 8 months by himself. He is currently serving on the Board of the Department of Social Services, President PTA HEADSTART, and a 15 year member of Capital Temple Church of God in Christ located in Washington, DC. 

The co-hosts of "EMPOWERING MEN" are Dr. Thomas Ryer, Executive Director for Public Affairs / Advocacy and Dr. Jonathan Herbert, Executive Director for International Member Services for the Men's Empowerment Network.
