Ellen Gee welcomes the ladies of HollaBack, Baltimore rapper Rico Reed, and Augustus McMillan of McMillan Companies to The EoP.
Hollacback is a movement to end street harrassment powered by a network of local activists around the world. They work together to better understand street harassment, to ignite public conversations, and to develop innovative strategies to ensure equal access to public spaces. Rico Reed grew up in the Reservoir Hill community on the West side of Baltimore City. He embraced rap at an early age because he felt it was the voice of the underdog. Rico mad positive changes in his life after facing a 15 year sentence to Federeal prison. He believes happiness comes from within. His music speaks for itself and to his outlook on street life.
