Today we will speak with an individual by the name of Maurice; made known to us here at Earth Grind via his youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWbuevf4Myg.  Earth Grind respects the way brotha Maurice handled himself especially in the presence of young people. This was such an inspiring moment that we must learn the full details of the situation. Brotha Maurice appeared to be schooling the enforcement officer with the support of a 14 year old young man.  Maurice is a living example; that knowledge combined with wisdom is more powerful then a gun. And it will keep you alive. Peace to all the black diamonds of the world. We want Autonomy Now!Earth Grind Radio is back with special guest, Ryan A.M. Hamilton. Not only is he a scholar and a research student, he is very much connected to the daily grind of the people. Everything Ryan does from his research to his work and daily life is seeking out ways to support his communities and those he's in connection with, own their autonomy in terms of defining what it is they need for their community. He does this by creating gardens on the side walk and participating in protest against monsanto and so much more. Ryan will explain how communities have been changed due to state processes. Which informs how and why state mandated solutions don't work for the people they govern, therefore with such information its up to the people to claim their autonomy and decide for themselves what is best for them, especially in response to the impact of state processes. myearthgrind@gmail.com @earthgrindradio My EarthGrind@FB     01:01:00Earth Grind RadionoCommunity,Monsanto,PuertoRico,Autonomy,UrbanEarth Grind Radio is back with special guest, Ryan A.M. Earth Day began in 1970, when 20 million people across the United States—that's one in ten—rallied for increased protection of the environment. Environmental problems today, however, are less immediate than dirty air, toxic water, and a hole in the ozone layer.... global climate change [is] one of the most significant, if not the most significant, public health issue of our time." -fromhttp://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/04/140421-earth-day-2014-facts-environment-epa/ Contact Us: twitter: @earthgrindradio facebook:myearthgrind email:myearthgrind@gmail.com Call in to the show:718-508-9990 01:33:00Earth Grind RadionoEarthDay,Woman,ManYour Host's SageGram and WritetoManifest will be having a Real talk segment that will include a celebration of Earth Day and a special guest, whom will share hoOn our grind, got some things on our mind.http://www.blogtalkradio.com/earthgrind/2014/04/14/on-our-grind-got-some-things-on-our-mind-1Entertainmenthttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/earthgrind/2014/04/14/on-our-grind-got-some-things-on-our-mind-1/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/earthgrind/2014/04/14/on-our-grind-got-some-things-on-our-mind-1Mon, 14 Apr 2014 02:30:00 GMTOn our grind, got some things on our mind.Today is a chill day we want to dedicate this show to a real chill friend who passed away along with his wife to be Michael Myvett and Mattison Haywood. We your hosts Sage Gram and Write2Manifest appreciate the love and support of all the listeners. Today’s show is all about the energy force known as love. It has been said that love can move mountains or better yet create them. There is a common belief that all things have been created from a place a love. The great lack and despair that is perceived in todays world, was and is a design by foreign forces that have an agenda contrary to the divine source, order and purpose of life. Therefore, during today’s show we want to get to the bottom of what love is and how it can empower individuals and how that empowerment can lead to community building, for example; through practices that deal with conflict, in the form of transformative justice. And folks we don’t have all the answers, so we would love to hear from you on this topic. We are also posing the question to the Black/African community, what are we celebrating and how are we honoring the legacy of our ancestors whom are pioneers of change and fought for the liberation of Black/African people.  We say Mockery because we as black people have accepted our position in society as if we have really evolved. Many believe we are free. Organizations Like Google feel comfortable appropriating our warrior women on their site. Showing an image the tells a story but not the true story. The legacy of Black/African ancestors should be honored and celebrated everyday. Not within the confines of the shortest month of the year; but through psychological revolution, spiritual revolution, educational revolution and so on and so forth. We have work to do, much has been sacrificed so we can rise to the moment, where we are liberated from white supremacy and the agenda that is in the process of insuring our annihilation. **Check out the Cointelpro video by clicking on the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p993fs5pR4U **Read the article about Black women and lynchings in the US here: http://henriettavintondavis.wordpress.com/2008/08/01/black-women-who-were-lynched-in-america/     01:01:00Earth Grind RadionoBlack History Month,Freedom,All Power To The People,Liberation,Harriet TubmanThe Host's of EarthGrind Radio Write2Manifest and SageGram, will be discussing Black History Month and how it is being used to make a mokery of black folks. She liberated her children, gave them powerful names. Taught them honorable ways, while making sure miseduction was not their reality but truth as norm. Empowering them to be confident when challenging percieved authority and knowing to look within for the real. She will be missed by many.
