John Safran, Award Winning Documentary Maker: The Empowerment Hour Online University

This week on the Empowerment Hour Online University we welcome to the program Australian TV documentary maker John Safran. Mr. Safran has been making documentaries combining serious issues with humour for the last 12 years. He also broadcasts a weekly radio show that discusses religion and ethnicity. In 2009 Mr. Safran filmed a story with Richard Barrett in Jackson, Mississippi. When he found out that Richard Barrett was murdered he returned to the US to cover the trial that started February 14th and the broader racial issues raised by it.
