There are at least three we will pay particular attention to and discuss in length. The reason for tonight’s discussion is due to the historic week which unfolded before the world in the streets of Cairo, Egypt. A non-violent youth movement of protest which called for a change finally came to fruition ending a thirty year theocracy. We celebrate with our Muslim brothers in their momentous occasion. Yes, you heard me correctly; I did address the Muslims as our brothers. For all you bible scholars, God doesn’t make a distinction or separation of faith as we do. Scriptures teaches us in Ephesians Chapter 4, “to worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of spirit, in the bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit, just as were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. “It is with those scriptures I can boldly call us as one. Furthermore, we also should have the understanding that regardless of our separate classes and many times divisive and separate faiths; despite all that God IS LOVE, HE IS PEACE, and most of all GOD IS UNITY. The Beatitudes will be our backdrop and foundation for discussion, “Blessed are those who are poor in spirit”. Thirty years of oppression and yet they were blessed in the end. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled”. And they were. It started small, some lives lost but they dug in for 18 days; righteousness and liberation was what they got. Finally, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God”. This was peaceful from the start. Tonight I look forward to a spirited discussion as we discuss how powerful and more effective we are when we are peaceful.00:30:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoPeace,Unity,God,Love,BlessedWe are going to look at three of the beatitudes from the gospel of Matthew. It is found in Proverbs as stated earlier in Chapter 3 verses 1 – 6. We will discuss this verse in length so that according to the scripture someone after listening to the show will be able to have length of days; long life and peace will be added to them. Too many times over the years I have come across many people who walked away from God because they are feeling the loss of a loved one. The pain is compounded even more because it seems or appears the party or parties responsible for taking the life of their loved one are not being punished here on earth. It also seems instead of justice being blind; it sees what it wants to. However, you can still say justice is blind in the sense it turns a blind eye or looks the other way when it comes to punishing the one who took the life your loved one. As little to most times no punishment is doled out. There are even those who murders someone serve no time at all for lack of evidence or because of plea agreement get a light sentence. To the families this is not justice. Again, this is the reason why families or individuals have left the safety of God not understanding and feeling as if God has left them. It is a pain I myself am familiar with, as I have lost a brother who was killed. Then those who killed him received ninety days on weekends only being charged with leaving the scene of an accident. I wondered many times how God allowed the killer to be enjoying their life and family which brought more pain and confusion. However, one day I was asked do I know with certainty my brother’s killers is not being tormented. I couldn’t say for certain whether he was or wasn’t. Finally, I was reminded every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. So he is yet to go before the ultimate high court; where God sits as ruler and judge. We will use the book of Nahum as a backdrop and a source to show God does punish. As God dealt with Nineveh and his sins; resulting in Nineveh who was being punished by God. It will be my prayer someone can begin to heal through this discussion which will lead them back to God and trusting him.01:26:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoGod,Faith,Love,Hope,TrustSaturday's discussion will deal with the question does God leave the guilty unpunished. The former concept suggests a steadfastness in which our lights blaze continually for God. The latter concept implies projecting our lights into the darkness of this world. Paul depicts believers as lights. Yes, we may be in agony or at times caught up in our own situations; some of us have My even a tendency to put blinders on instead of seeing how God can use us in the midst of trails, tribulations heartache, and suffering. In fact, we are using Paul’s letter to the Philippians’ church in chapter 2 to teach us this. Paul in this chapter encourages the Philippians, “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. It has to be pointed, out since we are talking about works and involving yourself past your pain and Paul’s reference to work out your own salvation; this is him referring to the Philippians to develop and work out their salvation but not to work for their salvation. We also have to understand according to the scripture God works in according to his will and to do for His good pleasure. I know some people don’t want to hear what they are going through is according to a divine plan of God. But, if you understand this then you know God is going to see you through. The scripture specifically states in verse14, “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation”. What is being asked is not easy but in the discussion we will talk about it in length. We will also discuss how, “through Christ all things are possible”. It is my prayer for you the listening audience or someone going through is given another tool to aid them with their suffering, ultimately, becoming a steadfast blaze of light for God. More importantly, I know whatever your pain may be; God is able to heal; if you will allow him into your hearts. 01:01:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoGod,Pushing past the pain, light for God,going through, tool to aidWe are to be holding fast and holding forth. We will hear any the listening audience has; stories I heard last weekend of survival or miracles literally from out of the ashes of the collapse of the Twin Towers due to the acts of the terrorists of 9/11. Miracles when death or the inability to walk should have been the outcome according to what transpired to some of these survivors. As many may know the victims of 9/11, which were were numerous, were remembered last weekend. I will also share some of my own recent personal miracles. Finally, we will use the well known biblical account from John, Jesus’ disciple in the book of John chapter 11. The story of Lazarus being brought back from the dead after four days of being dead. He came forth when his name was called still in the grave clothes he was buried in, as was customary. The same God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac who also performed a miracle with the Hebrew Boys being delivered from the fiery furnace and Daniel from the lion’s den. Scripture further teaches us in the book of Hebrew,"He is the same yesterday, today and forever". The purpose of tonight’s discussion with the sharing of these miracles is to help someone to believe again in God. To see the true creator of these miracles can only be God. He is the only one who can be responsible for these miracles. No man can be given any credit; nor can you apply scientific rationale; or any human deduction or theory. The God who preformed the miracles during the biblical times again as scripture is teaching us is the same God performing miracles today. We need to just praise the Lord and lift his name up on high. We have every reason to praise him. Every reason to believe he is real. As we discuss each miracle, we Will see that. Finally, it will be my prayer, if your feeling low in your spirit this will renew and regenerate your spirit. 01:01:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoMiracles,God,Renewed,God is real,SpiritTomorrow night’s discussion will be on miracles. When doing so we can receive happiness. We also discussed in length on calling on the name of the Lord. Then we discussed tough topics such as trusting God, even when we think he does not hear our prayers especially when we experience the death of a loved one. Tonight, we will discuss how being filled with the Holy Ghost teaches man the spiritual things of God. The scripture we will use as our source is 1 Corinthians 2:6-16; which teaches us further, with the Holy Ghost, we have the mind of Christ. The reason this is worth discussing is because the scripture also lets us know in verse nine, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love us.” We will talk about how we may have trials and tribulations, hardships and it may appear one trail right after another. Yet, as the scripture suggests God has prepared us for those situations we go through. I have often been quoted as saying, “We have to be careful in our prayers when we ask God to remove the mountain in our life causing us problems. As we know most mountains our not singular and they come in ranges. It is better to ask God to teach you how to get through the mountain; so when the next one arises you are able to get through it.” We will also discuss not only are we prepared but with each trail and tribulation it teaches us what God is capable of. I am reminded of another scripture which simply states, “God puts on us no more than we can bear.” Prayerfully, tonight’s discussion will encourage someone listening who is going through trials and tribulations to see they have been prepared and their heart won’t be so heavy.01:00:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoHoly Ghost,God,love, teach, encourageOver the last several weeks we have discussed putting our hope and trust in God. Last week we discussed tough topics such as the lost of a loved one and why it may seem or appear God doesn’t answer prayers as we think He should. Tonight, we will discuss in length if your help is in the Lord and/or your hope is in the Lord, you can expect to receive happiness. We will use Psalm 146 as our source where it specifically says beginning at verse 2, “While I live I will praise the Lord’ I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. 3Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. 4His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish. 5Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever, 7Who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. 9The Lord watches over the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow”. Now, I may be one of the few who agree with the direction our president is trying to move our country. He may also have gotten many to believe, “Yes we can”. However, my faith and hope is in no man. "In God we can", as the scripture teaches; man can perish and so will his well intentions. I know through all I have been through in life, from the brink of death. I know it was God not man who held back death’s angels. I have also come to know God is a provider. Just in the last year alone; I have really gotten to know what the favor of God is. Not man or your best friend can provide like God can, "with Christ all things are possible". We will compare and contrast as the scripture does, who God is. How we can’t even begin to fathom all God can do. This will be our discussion in length tonight. Prayerfully, someone listening whose hope is misguided receives not only a desire to put their hope and trust in God, but also happiness.01:00:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoHappiness,God,Provider,Psalm 146,HopeTonight discussion is a continuation of last week’s discussion on Calling on the name of the Lord/ why we don’t. In the time of trouble, as you are going through your most difficult situation, who are we calling on and why? Then the toughest question of all which is asked by many and becomes an excuse, on why some have given up on or trusting in the Lord They ask questions such as; why does it seem that if I do call on the name of the Lord, it seems or appears he is not answering timely or at all? We will discuss this in depth tomorrow night using John 14:12 “Most assuredly , I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. We have to get in the habit of calling on the Lord as we go through, trusting the Lord will work it out no matter what the prayer is for, a loved one who is sick or according to the doctors given a death sentence; or whether you are to appear before the judge and may be looking at doing some years; or something as simple as providing for your family with food or finances as you receive turn off notices. We have to trust and believe if we pray and call on the Lord; however, He answers in his infinite wisdom His answers may not be according to our understanding but according to His will and again His infinite wisdom. I can testify to every one of these scenarios and have seen the Lord move and it may not have been as I would have done it or at times I thought the Lord could have moved more swiftly but all these difficult situations we will discuss. Finally, it will be my prayer that one person receives from the discussion to call on the name of Lord where normally that would not have been thier first choice or choice at all.01:00:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoThe Lord,Prayer, trust, believe, time of troubleTomorrow’s night discussion we will discuss some tough topics. These seem to be the most difficult times as to wait and trust that the Lord is working it out. Not only, is He working it out but the Lord had foreseen your trail and tribulation before you even began experiencing it. We will talk about how to let go and let God realizing the more we work on a situation instead of waiting on the Lord we might be digging our hole even deeper. We will use Philippians 4:4-9 as the back drop for our scripture and also a guide as to what to do when we become a little anxious or inpatient. We have to get to the point even in our trials and tribulations; we rejoice. Even if it requires you to look around and see what the Lord is doing. How even in the midst of your trail and tribulation you are blessed for one because you have the ability to call on the Lord. The scripture is quoted as to say, “Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” We have to understand the Lord is at hand and is in control of all situations. We don’t have to be anxious for anything; God is able to guard our mind and hearts. Exactly, as the Word teaches the peace of God surpasses all understanding. We have to get to a place of peace even though we may be surrounded by turmoil. We have been taught how to obtain peace and that is through praying, fasting and reading the Word. Faith that is unmovable, unshakable and unwavering; no matter what the circumstances are. More specifically, a faith in the ability of God to bring us through and deliver us no matter how difficult the situation, we may be put in. We will also discuss how even for a moment, saints upon receiving bad news or as they keep going through storm after storm; even if it is for a minute our humanness kicks in and so does doubt and we forget; again, even if it is for a moment God is able to deliver us. We sometimes even forget that we are saved in some situations and are led by not checking our flesh to stoop to the level of those who persecute us forgetting to just let God handle the situation and our persecutors. We will use the well know biblical story in Daniel 3:13-18. Where King Nebuchadnezzar in his anger because Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego wouldn’t bow down and worship his god. The King in his rage ordered them cast into a fiery furnace. They responded by telling the King, “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from you r hand, O king. But if not,, let it be known to you O king, that we do not serve you gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up” We will discuss how to obtain that same resolute and determined faith no matter how difficult or what we may face for believing in our faith. Sometimes, you might be the only one that will believe that God will; while everyone is in disbelief. Tonight, we will further discuss what happened when they were cast into that furnace and what transpired because of their unshakable and unwavering faith. Some claim difficulty in maintaining their walk with God especially in the area of witnessing. We need to show mercy to any kind of physical or spiritual need; all the while using the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance. There will some in need that we will have to use tender care and patience, just as God did with you, in helping a soul grow in God. Yet, others will need drastic measure and steps taken to rescue them from temptation. This is where the challenge comes in for many because some are still taking baby steps themselves and want to go into a lion’s den and perform deliverance and many end up ravaged by the lion or have fallen back into temptation themselves. There is always the need to use to use wisdom and caution. The scripture we will use as a backdrop and source of discussion will come from the book of Jude 1:20 “ building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction, 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,” Finally, we will also use this scripture in tonight’s discussion to show if you want to be saved and maintain a Godly life; He is able to keep you from stumbling. We look everywhere else and to everyone else; when we should be putting our trust and guidance in the Lord. He is the one that will let no weapon to form against you to prosper. He is the one in times past, if you would remember, has delivered you through your darkest hour. He even has delivered you during your worst midnight hour delivering joy, just as He promised He would, that joy would come in the morning. If you would just think back, it is the Lord who has answered your prayers and been there during your most difficult times. It was the Lord when everyone abandoned you and left you to fend for yourself. It was the Lord who healed your body and brought you through especially when the doctor’s didn’t have the answers and simply gave up on you. Or it was the Lord who stood beside you in the courtroom because all you could afford was a court appointed attorney who made you wonder whose side was he on and where did he get his training. Then you stood in amazement when you should have gotten sixty to life; you’re given ninety days and three years probation. I myself have personally witnessed the Lord in these various circumstances. These are not stories I heard or read but lived. We will use the scriptures in Psalm 91:14-16 as the backdrop for discussion. Where David says, “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” This will be our topic of discussion tonight and hopefully someone from the listening audience leaves knowing there is safety in the presence of the Lord.01:00:00Dr G Lee Barrettnothe Lord, safety, presence of the Lord, comfort, helpTonight we are going to discuss that there is safety in abiding in the presence of the Lord. We want to challenge you the listening audience in these situations to think big and seek greatness. Greatness which entails using the Holy Ghost in you to embrace the knowledge you are somebody. You are also capable of making a difference in people’s lives, of achieving greatness. Especially the very people you unknowingly come in contact with on a daily basis. Greatness can be achieved through these people who some may be unwarranted or even purportedly undeserving of your acts of love and kindness. It is easy to be mean and hurtful and it is even easier when it is in retaliation of someone being mean to you. It is harder to and takes more work to be kind especially in those circumstances. It is a trick of the enemy to make you think you are not worthy; or not special; or you have purpose and self worth. David shares with us his self revelation in Psalm 139, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works. Finally, in tonight’s discussion we will use Paul’s writing as the backdrop and basis for the discussion using Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.” It is my prayer after tonight’s discussion you feel a little more self worth and using the power within in all of we are motivated to acts of greatness by making a difference in someone’s life. Even if it is something as simple as saying hello to a stranger; letting a person behind you in line, you allow them to go before you; or maybe it is helping the elderly with their groceries. Even to the point, where it becomes comes too late and he or she has taken their life as casually as they would eat a bologna sandwich. The great tragedy is the person’s dependence on their partner. Many times they settle for less. If they are saved and a have a relationship with Christ, they know the universal definition of love written by Paul to the Corinthian Church in his first epistle to the church in the thirteenth chapter. They know as Paul writes, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” If you experiencing anything other than this such as domination, intimidation, fear, abuse, degradation, lies and lies leading to cheating. There is nothing he can say or you that will justify; make it better and we have to learn to move on and put our dependency from this dead end cycle to a dependent relationship with Christ. We will discuss this in length tonight. On how we are to wait on the Lord; seek the Lord first in all things and then those things you desire will be added unto. According to Paul in his epistle to the Galatians; he instructs them what to do when a brethren is overtaken in any trespass. Paul tells those who are spiritual. I must pause and point out Paul does not address the elders of the church but those that are spiritual. The meaning is anyone not just members of the clergy but as stated from the beginning members of the church, laity, anyone saved and/or spiritual. We are to restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. We are to bear one another’s burden. That means not tearing our brother and sister when they are down or kicking them metaphorically when they are down. It also means to be mindful or our walk and strength. If you are an alcoholic; it is probably not a good idea for you to tempt yourself by going into the bar to retrieve your brother. We have to be spiritual smart, utilizing God as our source of strength. There is nothing wrong with just praying if that is your only means of helping someone; for the feverant prayers of the righteous availeth much. This will be our discussion at length tonight in the spirit of us being about our father’s business and prayerfully someone is motivated next time we see are brethren in any trespass to treat with love and kindness, after all the Lord treated you with his utmost love you as he reached out with his grace and mercy giving his only son who shed his blood and die so that we may saved01:00:00Dr G Lee BarrettnoThe Lord,Spiritual,Religion, family, loveTonight our discussion will focus on members of churches, laity, those who are saved and encourage our listeners to be our brothers and sisters keeper. I couldn't help wondering as I was listening; if the driver had the opportunity to know the Lord and accept Him as his personal Savior. In Paul's epistle to the Corinthian Church, he tells us a mystery," We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye". Paul further tells us in this same epistle, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." This will be our main topic of discussion. Many of us are walking around with the attitude that in time, I will get myself right and establish a relationship with the Lord after I live my life a little. In depth, we will also discuss how the contrasting truth of life’s struggles and hardship has a tendency to leave us spinning sometimes in despair despite what we know to be the truth or how God has demonstrated his mighty acts and brought us through in previous situations before. It seems like no matter what we know to be the truth and despite our trust in God; life’s hardships, trials and tribulations seem to continuously knock us back on our knees time and time again. I think many of us have bypassed or really not paid too much attention to these passage of scripture as a source of strength and instead have used or are more familiar with Isaiah 40:31; where Isaiah says, “those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary; They shall walk and not faint.” But, we want to encourage those going through personal struggles through this discussion not to faint, for the God we serve is mighty using the words of Isaiah as source of strength and truth. For Isaiah does say in the 28 & 29 verses, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. Not only does the Lord hear him but the Psalmist says the Lord saves him from all his trouble. And for those who fear the Lord, the Psalmist says the angel of the Lord encamps all around all them. The Psalmist then challenges the readers to taste the Lord for the Lord is good and blessed is the man who trusts in Him. In our discussion we will explore that there is no difference then to now. In fact scripture teaches God is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Holding to that truth and what we find in Psalm 34 there is no reason whatsoever regardless of your station in life whether it is, poor, indigent, homeless, or just need help; all we need to do is seek the Lord and for those who don't know him yet, there is no better time than now to accept him as your personal savior.. Try Him for yourself and you'll find like many of us that have tried him and do have a relationship, He is unlike any friend you have ever had; that in the time of trouble, He is a right on time God. Yet, prayer it most used in trying times and situations to get us through. It is the answered prayer that leaves us amazed and the seemingly unanswered prayer the most puzzled. It is this power that prayer has which no religion can claim dominance over because I have come to believe prayer is that communication whether through need or just pure praise in, whom we believe in. For many this has become an acceptable way to deal with past hurts. The problem with this type of healing is it is not really healing. The root or cause of the pain was not confronted or dealt with from the beginning. Nor did you allow the Lord in to heal your heart. So when a situation similar arises it becomes difficult and very painful. You then relive this nightmare. As painful as it may be for whatever it is you have gone through; it is good to begin the healing process. I know sometimes our first thought is, as we go through, the quicker I am able to put this behind me; the better I will be. But, as stated pretending or believing like nothing happened or I don't hurt doesn't make it go away. That pain has a way of inadvertently creeping into our lives at most inopportune times. We have to start the healing process. Sometimes that involves trusting the Lord will make everything all right. Trusting and believing through the Lord all things all possible. The Psalmist says He heals the broken-hearted. In our discussion will explore the benefits of starting and how to start the healing process. Prayerfully, you the listener who is hurting and have pretended for so long can begin to heal. Not only but in time have your pain go away and/or have the ability to cope with your past hurts because you started the healing process. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew concerning worrying about tomorrow, "Our Heavenly Father knows that you need these things (what shall we eat, what shall we drink and what shall we wear). But, seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, then all these things shall be added to you. We should remember as we go through; whose hands we are in, our Heavenly Father. Who tells us in his Word, "We are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us". We will not only discuss this in length but what Peter shares with us about God's promise in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us. We may face the uncertainties in life but we do have the promise of God. We may face loss, the betrayal of friends or friends who just aren't there; or sometimes even family; and it may seem like everything in life is up in the air but the constant and steady that will never leave us nor forsake us, is God. I am doing more than just quoting scripture. It is something I have lived and am still and going through and I am grateful for that one steady constant which never changes and that is God's promise. This is what I want to share with you in tomorrow's discussion.01:00:00Dr G Lee Barrettnothe promise of God,the uncertainty of life,to do all things, the Lord is not slack, constant and steadyOur discussion will explore the depth of despair one experiences due to the uncertainties of life from a person's employment to health. Additionally, that our work of being a servant to someone and aiding our brothers and sisters in Christ; doesn't get stopped by the realities of pain, suffering and tribulation but with a greater fervor and sense of urgency. Prayerfully you the listeners will be able to utilize this discussion and these scriptures as motivating factors to aid you grater service. We will also discuss in length how to further motivate you the listener to greater works and to help you find comfort in the midst of fear, trepidation or the giants you will face. For example, I leave you with this scripture which we will draw our discussion from Friday night and this is just a portion of what we will be talking about in depth from 1Peter 3:13 And do not be afraid of their threats nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Finally I leave you with this last nugget prior to the show. If we surround our heart with the right thing, and have in our hearts the right thing we can guard our hearts as in this following passage of scripture. In Matthew 16, Peter was told, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bond in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven Scripture you will find gives us the keys, answers and tools to everything we need to do on earth. You will find Friday evening that you will have a greater sense and desire of service. You the listening audience will also leave with knowing and understanding as you take care of others; God is watching and taking care of your cares01:00:00Dr G Lee Barrettnoservant, realities of pain, great fervor, sense of urgency,Friday NightWe will have a discussion which explores our ability to cast our cares aside; our suffering and our tribulations so that the ministry and our works don't becomeHopehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/dr-g-lee-barrett/2009/11/14/hopeReligionhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/dr-g-lee-barrett/2009/11/14/hope/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/dr-g-lee-barrett/2009/11/14/hopeSat, 14 Nov 2009 05:00:00 GMTHopeA Longer Version and Continued discussion from Wednesday. This can be from a number of reasons such as what the holiday season has come to mean to some of us through loss and tragedy or even just loneliness without family and friends. Hopefully and prayerfully we can enter a discussion that leaves the listener with hope and inspiration. Finally, the listener is also given coping skills to help heal utilizing the word of God. I a firm believer by helping a person connect spiritually or with one's religion the process of healing can begin. Through this discussion maybe a few of those listening or participating in the discussion will have a merry holiday season from Thanksgiving to the New Year. I look forward to those who will tune in and even those who participate. More Importantly God's divine intention for his people as it relates to us loving one another. Not just in lip service but by our actions. It is those things we do without fanfare; your names in lights; the need or lack there of having anyone even acknowledge your act of kindness which truly defines loves. I believe when we truly embrace this concept of love, many lives are touched for the better. We as Christians can also, as this world in places is getting more and more wicked become examples and show a sin sick world; their are still many of us, who in following Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and as our example believe strongly in making a positive difference in the lives of those least of mine. For scripture teaches us when we have done it to one of the least of his, we have also done it onto the Lord. We will look at the power of prayer, fasting, and studying the Word of God. Because for some of us we want to help but we have storms ourselves and in discussion I will be able to help you with some healing techniques from the Holy Word so that you begin the path of helping someone else. These are some of the topics which will be discussed in this segment.01:00:00Dr G Lee Barrettnotruly, embrace, kindness, helping, lovePrayerfully, this is a discussion which explores the importance of love.
