Amazed by the unexpected success of her memoir The God Box: Sharing My Mother’s Gift of Faith, Love and Letting Go, author Mary Lou Quinlan has found a new purpose in life: to spread the inspirational example of her mother’s simple faith.

Mary Lou Quinlan has written inspirational features for national magazines including Real Simple, O Magazine, More, and is the author of the books Just Ask a Woman, Time Off for Good Behavior and What She's Not Telling You. 

She is the nation's leading expert on female consumer behavior and the founder and CEO of the marketing consultancy Just Ask a Woman. She has conducted in-depth research on women's lives since 1999 for corporations such as Wells Fargo, Pfizer and Kellogg's.

As the keynote speaker at hundreds of conferences around the world, Quinlan has appeared on television programs such as CBS' Early Show, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC's Today, and has been profiled in media outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today. She continues to travel the country with her acclaimed one-act play, also entitled, The Gox Box. Proceeds go to various charities.

She holds an MBA from Fordham University and received an honorary doctorate in communications from her alma mater, Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, where she also holds a BA in English. Quinlan and her husband, Joe, live in New York City and Bucks County, PA, with their dog, Rocky.
