Meet Gracie and Diane's good friend Rich and his service dog Monte!
Rich Dixon is a freelance writer and inspirational speaker, following a thirty-five year career as a public school mathematics teacher. A freak accident while installing Christmas lights in 1987 caused a spinal cord injury and permanent paralysis.
RICH’S RIDE is a ministry that leverages his love of handcycling to spread a message of hope and possibility.
· In 2011, Rich handcycled the Mississippi River’s entire length from Lake Itasca, Minnesota to New Orleans. During the 1500-mile journey he spoke to more than 4,000 people and raised nearly $60,000 for the children’s feeding initiatives operated by Convoy of Hope.
· During July 2012, the Rich’s Ride team joined a team of 25 cyclists for IJM Freedom Tour, a 500-mile ride to raise funds and awareness for International Justice Mission.
· Rich, Becky, and Monte are currently doing a 1000-mile tour of Florida’s perimeter.
Rich is the author of two books:
Rich and Becky have been married since 2002. They live in Fort Collins, Colorado, with Rich’s service dog, Monte. They’re members of Timberline Church. You can learn about Rich at www.richdixon.net. www.DianeDike.org
